Piano moving · Individual handling arrangements

An instrument deserves the right approach.

A piano’s size, weight, shape and construction affect the way it should be moved. We establish the item and access, then confirm the handling and arrangements the job needs.

Understanding the whole route.

The space around a piano matters as much as the piano itself. Doorways, steps, turns, slopes and the approach to the truck all influence the method.

Russell and the team use coordinated handling, with clear roles and timing where several people need to work together. Each job is assessed before we confirm that we can undertake it.

What to send us.

Tell us whether the piano is upright or grand, its approximate dimensions and both addresses. Photographs of the instrument, entrances, steps and turns are helpful.

Include any known condition or handling requirements. For a piano within a household move, flag it separately so its requirements are allowed for.

Clear arrangements before the move.

We explain the proposed work, access requirements and price basis before you book. If a different specialist or arrangement is needed, that should be identified before the work goes ahead.

Start with the instrument and both addresses.

Add the details to your moving enquiry, or call Russell on 0800 316 786 to explain the job.
